Frostclaw
pure white tom with green and amber eyes
* * *
Age: 27 moons
Gender: tom
Rank: warrior
Clan: SunClan
* * *
Appearance: Frostclaw is pure white, as white as freshly fallen snow pure, clear, and untouched. His fur is soft to the touch and a smooth as a lake on a windless day. His build is slightly on the large side and thick muscles cling to his frame and ripple under his pelt.
However, Frostclaw's appearance isn't as flawless as it seems. The warrior was reckless as an apprentice. If it wasn't for the quick reflexes of his mentor, Frostclaw would never had made it to warrior ship. Scuffles across the terrain with rouges and loners as a young apprentice resulted in multiple scars. The most notable of these rests across his right eye. This happened while tussling with a hawk. Frostpaw saw the talons of the giant bird coming for his face, and that was the last he saw out of that eye. Although it still rests inside his skull, it's useless. Scarred over and emotionless.
But his left eye is as it had always been. It resembles a forest burning to the ground. Green, amber, and orange intertwine together, a fiery passion, always lit, but tamed most of the time. But when angered, the fire burns as fiercely as possible. It is a forest on fire right above a delicate pink nose.
Personality: Frostclaw was once a fiery soul, cocky, stupid, yet brave in some eyes. As an apprentice he had taken every dare, every risk he could in order to be the best. But when the tom had lost his sight in his right eye, everything changed. He was solemn. Hardly spoke, and did what was bidden. Never again did he take a dare. He had felt foolish and stupid after that accident. A change took over him; a very large change.
Frostclaw is serious, almost too serious for a tom his age. Frostclaw was ashamed of his eye, and still is. He speaks when bidden too, does as ordered, and never takes risks. Many of the older warriors could understand why he became who he is, but others didn't and gave him the cold-shoulder. Even today some still do.
But there are the rare occasions that the fire inside of Frostclaw roars to life. The warrior is protective of his clan, especially the apprentices. He will not stand when some foolish warrior puts another at risk. Frostclaw cannot stand the thought of some cat ending up like him. Forever changed from a stupid dare; a stupid mistake.
Some nights Frostclaw is seen awake, staring at the moon. No cat knows what he is thinking about when he does that. Ever since that fateful encountered with the hawk, Frostclaw was mysterious. No cat really knew him. As a matter-of-fact, Frostclaw doesn't even know if he knows himself.
From an out going and joyous apprentice, to the mysterious warrior Frostclaw; the mystery of who he is still goes unsolved. He's just unwittingly waiting for some cat to come along and solve it.
History: Frostclaw's mother was Shadowfang, a respectable warrior in SunClan, although she acted before she thought. Shadowfang could be sweet talked into doing anything. She never regretted doing anything but once. None of the Clan is sure about what happened. All they knew was that Shadowfang asked the leader for a mate and had kits.
She gave birth and loved the three kits with all of her heart. Frostkit, the first-born; Snowkit, the second-born; and Icekit, the third-born.
As soon as the kits were weaned, Shadowfang disappeared and was never seen again. Frostkit was five moons old.
Just weeks later green-cough swept through camp. The three kits were the first to catch it. Although Frostkit recovered quickly, Snowkit and Icekit didn't make it. Frostkit was alone.
It was his goal to live his life for all three of them. He took every dare, taking them for his siblings and himself. He didn't care how dangerous or difficult, he had to do them. Over time he got cocky. Doing the dares and being the best of the best went to his head. He was now determined to become a warrior before any of his den mates. When his mentor took him out hunting Frostpaw took a dangerous notion; He was going to kill a hawk by himself.
Frostpaw found the hawk, and attacked. But he never did think anything out, and so the deed he supposed to be heroic turned deadly. The deed ended in the lost of his sight in his right eye.
He was no longer the best. No longer the one that she-cats drooled after. He was now the one who was blind in one eye. He had to start from scratch with his training. He no longer live for his two deceased siblings, he only lived for himself.
So after learning to work around his disability, Frostpaw was named Frostclaw, a full warrior of SunClan.

Roleplay Sample:
Frostclaw padded silently behind the patrol, keeping the rear guarded. Tall oak, poplar, and maple trees towered above the group. The pace was a gentle lope, ears and eyes pricked for intruders. They paused every once and awhile to re-scent the boarder markers. The white warrior was silent but that didn't stop the other four from chatting.
"Now Larkpaw, repeat to me the warrior code once more. It is a very important aspect of our lives and must be remembered at all times."
Frostclaw felt his eyes roll. All cats knew that, and kits had the code drilled into their head by the time they were apprentices. Still, it was good to remember them and practice reciting them. One never knew when the time might be that you would forget them. Larkpaw was quick to recite them, and then the normal chatter of an excited apprentice continued.
"We'll we meet any rouges? I hope so! Then I can have my first battle and show all the others at how great I am!" Frostclaw hadn't said a word until now. "No." the group stopped and turned to look at him, although the eldest of the group, Browntail, didn't seem surprised. "It would be best to not come across any rouges, because you have had no battle training in the two days you have been an apprentice. If we do get in a battle, you would be very helpless save what comes naturally to all cats."
Without waiting for a reply Frostclaw stalked forward. He didn't want to speak or be rebuked, his mind was to full of the foolish things he had done as an apprentice already.
Frostclaw sighed as he stumbled a little over the roots of a sapling. His right eye glazed over and scared by the talons of an eagle. Life had never been the same since he had lost his sight in that eye.
