Cursedstar
light-shaded tortoiseshell tom with deep, amber eyes
* * *
Age: 35 moons
Gender: tom
Rank: Leader
Clan: SunClan
* * *
Personality:
Cursedstar is definitely not the type for cats to think he likes the new strict rules of the code. Cursedstar is a calm, warm-hearted tom, who is rarely assertive. This trait might be a weakness in his part, but he is assertive when needed to be. He speaks through feelings instead of thoughts, and is very compassionate. He even saves himself from having to exile or kill a cat by letting cats off the hook if they misbehave, and even letting she-cats mate with whoever they want as long as it looks like he was the one who told them to.
He isn't a big fan of everyone in the Clan, though. Many warriors think it is unwise to have such a caring leader, because it shows weakness. Not only that, but the disregard of the new rules also has cats on edge. Cursedstar isn't too worried, though. Disobeying the leader, especially harming or killing the leader, would be against the rules. They would die with him. Would they really risk their own lives just to end his?
Cursedstar isn't the most confident leader around. He is very insecure, and is often seen talking to his deputy about decisions even though it is obvious he can make them on his own. He is nervous about messing up, and gets a second opinion whenever he can. He is also very dependent on the medicine cat, hoping to connect with StarClan whenever possible to see if he is doing the right thing.
Appearance:
Cursedstar's looks were definitely not inherited by anyone. It is still to this day a mystery of why he looks the way he looks. Let's start with his structure. He doesn't pack muscle at all. His body is slim and long, making him very odd looking. He isn't considered large, so a good trait to describe him is tall. Yes, very tall indeed. Long, graceful slims legs make him a fast runner. His body looks more of a GustClan cat, and even his swift hunting skills are more for a rabbit.
His face gives off a wise impression. It isn't sharp, but isn't flat, neither. His face is almost perfectly shaped. His ears are also not very abnormal, for it is not too big nor not too small. His nose is a dark pink, which gives him a cute look. But what stands out the most is his eyes. They are a dark, golden amber, making him seem almost menacing to look at. But if you look closely, his amber depths are almost always full of warm energy.
His pelt is rather bazaar. It is short, no surprise, but it is a very odd shade of tortoiseshell, not that it is even more odd for him to have a kind of tortoiseshell pelt in the first place. It is a very light shade, which makes it looks more like a smokey gray and tan mixture than a tortoiseshell. His chest is white, along with the tips of his toes.
History:
A strange name, yes? It wasn't a name he got like an elder. He had this name from birth. Cursedstar's name always was a burden, but what is even more disturbing is how he got it. Listen closely, because Cursedstar never shares this story with anyone unless your really close to him, which is why it is such a mystery through out the Clan. Cursedstar was born from a beautiful white she-cat named Icewing. The pregnancy was going well, until the last kitten got stuck, making her bleed immensely. After the kit was born, the she-cat died from blood loss. Who was this kitten? Cursedstar.
His father, a dark ginger tom named Flamefoot, blamed Cursedstar for the love of his life's death. Every one new he was excited to be a father with his mate. But it was all over. So, in anger, he cursed him with his name. Flamefoot says he named him because of his fur, which was strange because none of Flamefoot's or Icewing's family had a tortoiseshell coat. Due to this, Cursedstar stuck out from his litter. Everyone knew though that he named the kit Cursedkit because of his mate's death.
Since the day he was born, his life wasn't the greatest. He had a father who hated him and wasn't afraid to show it, siblings, two sisters named Leafkit and Autumnkit, who left him out due to his different pelt color, and a Clan who looked at him mysteriously because of his name. But, he did have something good in his life. His mother, who was a friend of his birth mother and decided to raise them. She was more close to him than any other cat. Vise verso for him.
When apprentices, his life was no different. Fortunately, he had a mentor who didn't treat him like the others, but trained him harder because he thought if Cursedpaw had better skills than most apprentices, cats would think different of him. And it was true. By the time he was a warrior, the Clan respected him. Cursedstar, then Cursedheart, thought his life was finally turned around. But then things changed when his adopted mother died. Cursedheart thought he could never be happy again, and nothing good could come out of this. But due to this, he got closer to his sisters, because of something they finally shared together; the loss of their mother.
Unfortunately, his sisters left the Clan, not able to go on with the reminder of their loss. They lived as kittypets. Cursedheart went on with his life, unaware of what would happen in the following moons.
After about 3 or 4 moons of warriorship, he was appointed deputy. Flamefoot was obviously not pleased. He challenged his son on the spot, resulting in Cursedheart almost loosing his life. Due to such violence, Flamefoot was killed. Cursedheart didn't like his father, but it wasn't right for him to die. That was when he realized how much he despised the revised laws of Clans. They were no better than Flamefoot.
Of course, he became leader, and since that day for many moons he has lead the Clan. Fortunately he was not forced to kill or exile any of his cats, and he hopes not to.

Roleplay Sample:
Cursedstar padded out of his den, glad to be out in the open. He wasn't too pleased with being in anything with closed in walls, or he feels confined. Another trait that makes him more GustClan. But, unlike GustClan cats, he does enjoy the forest as much as a meadow. Both places doesn't bother him much. He could actually live anywhere without being bothered. Except anything muddy or wet; that wouldn't be very comfortable living conditions.[bg=c18400][atrb=border,0,true]
Cursedstar noticed he was out a bit earlier than usual, for he came out just before the sun began to rise, and even the dawn patrol was not dismissed yet. Taking this to his advantage, he decided to exit camp, leaving his slumbering comrades behind. Nodding to the guard, he slipped away, immediately dissolved in the beautiful atmosphere of his territory.
Yes, his territory. The tom was proud to lead a Clan that had such a breath-taking piece of land. But at the same time, he felt empty. He wished he had someone to share this walk with. A close friend, family, even a mate. But he had a feeling that wasn't going to happen. One, he had no friends, Two, he had no family in the Clan. Three, he didn't even know if he was allowed to have such thing as a mate or lover because of these rules. But he hasn't been following them up until now, so why worry about it? But what cat would want a busy leader as a friend or mate? His gaze traveled up to the sky, wistfully searching for the outlines of StarClan cats. "What has happened to us?"
